Writer’s block
Impz from THAT Animeblog wrote a quite intresting post about how he feels that his writting needed improvement and the possible causes of this.
For me, it´s two things. One is that I need to get better at thinking stuff up to write about and make it sound good. And to follow the damn red thread trough the whole post.
Second is that I´ve gotten myself into a writer´s block where alas, I have pretty much ideas of what to write about, but I can never find the right words.
To add things up, I can barely write things in two or more sittings, the more time I spend on an entry the more I feel like I need to rewrite the whole thing since I´ve messed stuff up or the point that I wanted to make didn´t come out right.
The most important thing, to feel that it is fun to write comes and goes for me. I started out bloging about Macross Frontier, but then all of a sudden lost intrest in bloging it. And now when it has taken such a bad dive I don´t know really what to do about it.
And it all have gotten me to start thinking on what I really want to write about. I started this to write about games and anime. But I´m to lazy to write about every single ep from the shows I watch, hell I can´t even keep my motivation up for one show.
In games I can write about things. But then it feels weird, just take a look at the Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice tag and you´ll notice quite a few entries.
Sure it gives me stuff to write about, but that isn´t really what I want to write. A First Impressions post about a game is always good. But what should I write after that? A final review get´s placed in the reviews section so that isn´t a possible post topic.
Would it be nice to see what I think after I´ve played say 10h of the same game? If it is possible that is :p but since I play mostly RPGs I think it should be possible to pull that one of.
Along the problems, I started this blog with the intention to suply kinda big pictures. But I soon realised that wasn´t really something that would work as a long time solution since they stack up on space.
Picasa works really well as a suplement, but then with this theme I can´t really use it unless I want to add multiple images to a single post. The post image needs to be placed in the wp-contents folder, which in a way is a great thing.
Since I wrote the post “Thoughts about Pokemon” visitors have racked up. But only for that single post. I feel pretty down thinking that people just visit here to either watch the ecchi images or complain to me about different things. Take a look at the comments and you´ll see what I mean…
I don´t know what to do with that post. It´s the most popular post on this blog, but I don´t know. I don´t think I want people to come here only for one single post. I do think I want them to come here to read the latest post or just comment on my other posts. Not to visit a single post.
How to solve this? Make the post private? Doesn´t stop searchenginees from sending people here or take the pictures away from my server. So how to erase one post from the search engines?
Along with all this I can go from being super happy and positive to depressed in like 5 seconds. The weird part is that when I feel down and I´m depressed I tend to write my best posts. I´m depressed at the moment and look at this. I´ve written sorta on topic the whole time and it works to write.
So, tips, encouragement, flames? Anything will do at this point.

Ah you read Impz’s but missed mine and Usagi’s. Here is the link to mine, it has Usagi’s link in it.
Quite an interesting post Panther & Manga. My apologies as I can’t say much although I do feel I can do better with my posts which is why I haven’t been posted much lately finalizing each post, a little bit – possibly I will make a response to this some time later.
Panther: I´ve had this kind of post in my head for a long time. I just hadn´t gotten around to actually writting it down and not sounding like a complete jackass :p
So it was just a random thing that I read Impz post before writting this and with it being partly the same topic well I thought I had to link that article.
So I didn´t miss you on purpose. But nice article yourself
And yes, Usagi´s was really well written.
Reflect: All up to you
For me the most important thing is that I´m having fun while writting, which is kinda weird since as I said, I was pretty depressed when I wrote this post and it turned out pretty well.
The pingback though is something I´m very curious about. Since it seems to be yet another one of these damn sites that makes a pingback to everything you write and claims it is for your own good…
