So, we need to get something checked out and thus I created this.
One of the reason I choose Arthemia Premium as a theme for this site is because of the headline and featured sections.

Stick sensitive and finally, a T2 artbook!!

Nice package!!

Guess what arrived in the mail today? A big package containing very little stuff. A Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 stick and a T2 artbook.

I´ve been waiting for this to arrive all week. And finally after 4 days of shipping from Hong-Kong it arrived. And it was made of suprise and win.

Lovely artbook

My second T2 artbook!! This time from the much disliked game series Shining World. It consists of two games. Shining Wind is one of them and Shining Tears is the other. The book is so well made I just can´t start to believe how it could be any less quality.

Great images, nearly 200 pages with nice artwork and some interviews with Tony Taka makes this book a great buy. If you´re a fan. Otherwise it might seem weird :p

for some examples you can go here: http://moe.imouto.org/pool/show/601

If you like what you see there then you can get the book on Play-Asia.com

Big stick is BIG!!

I knew that the stick was going to be pretty big. But not this enourmous. Makes for a good holding spot though and it is quite heavy so it won´t throw around during games. Which is a really good thing. And as you can see it´s well designed and just looks great even in it´s plastic bag.

Unplasted

And here the plastic has been removed. Looks pretty nice right? It feels nice as the buttons are receptive and works just fine. After doing a quick quick run in BlazBlue with this stick I found that I have a lot to learn as I can´t do many of the things I could do with a pad. Jump backwards is one thing :p But I guess everything comes with practice. I sure hope so, otherwise this was a waste of money. But I´m not going to give up with this stick just about yet. I just need to get used to it and then I think everything will be so much better.

Menubrowsing and such was no problem, no problem at all. So I think I know that the whole thing is just a learning process.

But it´s really nice to finally have a stick, I´ve been going around in circles for a long long time now. When I´ve given it some more time I´ll try and write a first impressions post up. Hopefully I´ll think that the money isn´t wasted…

Now all I need is some nice artwork to place on the surface and then get a good idea on how to make it appear there…

Congrats with the stick. You still should place it on a stable surface that is somewhat the same level as if you were sitting at an arcade cabinet, proportional to the position you are sitting in, so that you are comfortable, and not put it on your lap lol. Hard experience with a HRAP2 here.

I started out with the arcade controls, so I am way more familiar with a stick than with a pad. I also have no idea how you are going to get the vinyl sticker done over there, but it should be pretty easy…though costly for its type.

Combine this comment with the previous.

Also good move getting T2′s artbook for Shining Wind, I far prefer if he could give the original characters from Tears more ample coverage in the artbook for Wind though, but he may already have done that (I doubt it). The characters are so great…and the game so fail.

    There. comments combined.

I started out with a pad and I´ve grown to like it. Now I have some more practical use with a stick and it´s way better than I imagined. A great choice of stick I have to add.

I´m playing with it on my lap. Saw the guys at evo2009 do that so I can´t be any worse than them can I?

Actually I am comfortable that way. It doesn´t glide or anything so I´ll keep playing that way.

Who knows. I can always print a paper ark out :p We´ll see with the vinyl sticker. I have to decide first if I want to make it a more personal stick or not.

I saw it on Play-Asia and since I love T2 I knew I had to have it. Even though it costed a bit much. But when I received it and when I looked trough it it was well worth the money.

There is a single artbook for Shining Tears that T2 has made, which also is good but something I don´t have.

The characters are great designed and such yes. But atleast Shining Tears is a awful game I should say. But at the same time I do want to keep playing it…

Welcome to the real world of fighting games!

Yeah. Now I only have to get used to it. Which will take a lot of time. But so far I´m good. But that is mainly because of the opposition on BlazBlue.

Get it would you so we can play :) Internet play is awesome. No lag whatsoever.

And all I think of is a FS3 wihle you get a RAP3… just so you know, it’s mostly hollow inside, so there! I’d use my stick for MBAC, though. Also, think of the credits you’ll be saving if you practice Metal Slug on your PC and then play it in the arcades.

I got a RAP3 since it was in stock and I´ve been looking at sticks for like 2-3 years… From my knowledge this is a good stick. And from the matches I´ve played with it hell yes, it´s great.

The main reason for this buy is that there is very small chance of me getting into collage and thus I needed something to cheer me up.

I´m not much for Metal Slug. So far only fighting games are played with this stick. But I kinda want to try out Ar Tonelico 2 with it.
