Forum party in the name of the Gods!!

Last Saturday I went on a journey. It was a joyfull journey that meant a lot to me. It gave me more balls and I had a lot of fun. I wish we could make this kind of thing more often but it can´t be done that often, then it would be boring instead.
This post was mainly written during the time of the event so I beg your forgivness for it being badly written and sounding as if this publish date was the day of the event. It was not.
Background
The magazine Super PLAY has been closed down. In the end of October there will be no more Super PLAY. Which for us that read the magazine and used their forum is really really sad.
So there was some talk and we managed to decide on a date and then meet up to play some games and just chill with eachother. For me it is a high cost and a long time to travel. But since this was the last I had to find the money and time somewhere. Which I did. So now I am here at our hosts place and have been beaten in SFIV and beaten people along with playing some Wii, a first time for me.
Meeting the people behind the nicknames
It is a pretty big shock. Presenting onself with the real name that you use IRL is weird when it comes to this. At least for me. I had imagined that most of them would be thinner, but most of them are the same size or bigger than me. A joyful experience. And from the behaviour they are all really nice people.
It is just to bad that I suck at remembering names. Faces I remember but not names. Overall this is a great experience since I usually spend all time long in my room at home.
Images
I got lazy and can´t decide on what images I want to show to everyone so it will just have to be a link to all the images that were taken during these three days.

I´m the one with the Prinny State University hoodie.
Tournaments
Since we have a variety of games here: Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue, Bomberman 93, Mario Kart 64, Buzz and what not we have decided to have some tournaments in them. Or just one of them, which most people will be able to play.
Before this has happend I wonder how I will fare in these games. Since noone else has been playing much BB I think I got a bit of an edge over them, but who knows? And there might be special rules for me that makes everything harder.
I´ll get on that later on when we have finished it.
It later turned out that the tournament was disbanded. Noone wanted to play as we got caught up in other stuff. So the only thing we played were Buzz and there I came second in my group. Not a complete loss but not a win either.
Which is a bit boring but I´m not one to take command and start everything out.
Conclussion
I regret not going to the earlier meetings in the same name, but this is all I can do at the moment. This was fun, the food was great(tacos!!) and I got beaten in SFIV which should come as no surprise as I suck at SFIV. I played better with a controller than with a stick :p
As for BlazBlue, I was the only one having played it before so I was at a great advantage, so we talked a bit about it and such so it was not much of a challange :p But when it is released in Europe and such it will be a blast for them to play. So I succeeded in getting them interested in the game so I have to say that it is a victory for all fighting interested people.
Overall experience of this was a lot of fun and I want to have more of these meetings. Sure it would bring me to economic ruin but some parts are worth going into ruin for

I would’ve been there if money wasn’t an issue. But it was.
If there’ll be a next time, do you think you’ll be there?
Looks like you all had a great time
It all depends. My economy, date, time, what I´m doing at the time etc etc.
I would sure love to go the next time as well. But that is not something I can write down now that I will go, but it will have to do for now that I say that I want to go and will if I am able to.
My reflection of it all was that everyone had a good time. Just that we needed more TVs and video consoles so we could play more at the same time :p
nice experience indeed, I haven’t been on any event yet that would include meeting people you’ve met through the Internet, and introduce yourself IRL.
It was fun and something we all should do if we have the opportunity for it.
The biggest opponents for me were financial and traveling. It took me almost 5 hours to go and get home :p It wasn´t cheap either. But it worked out in the end.
