Originally I was going with Setsuna (from Gundam 00) but atleast Setsuna took some degree of action. Dense protagonists are more interesting than this guy.
His whole “fascination with the sky” thing is never explained, he cares little about his own sister or his school-friend.
Then in the climax of the series he decides to complete his goal of…….dying, because he found out he wasn’t a real person. Don’t most stories have the character struggle to realize that it’s fine even if they are “fake.” You sure do care about your sister you douchebag.
Yet lots of people find Sola to be OK. With a protagonist of that caliber I will find the show very much less than OK.
Shigure Asa (SHUFFLE!)
Of all the girls Rin goes with…..he goes with the teasing, stupid, insecure, and plain non-sensical girl.
Ok, admittedly alot of those traits cross over with the thousand other girls from Shuffle! But why is Asa any better than any of them?
Hell I would have preferred a “no-ending”.
I’ve never gotten really annoyed with a anime based on a eroge. But having an air-head be the wining girl is not pleasing.
Perhaps once I play the translated Shuffle, I will hate her less.
Rolo, Shiro, Sennou, Sakura…in 100% agreement.

Nah, just kidding there. While I myself do not agree with Shiro I can see why people would hate him. He isn´t the worst, not by a long shoot in my book. But as said, to each their own
