To Post or Not to Post, that is the question
Phew, loads of stuff going on here behind the scenes. Drama, schoolwork and irritation all gives us a hard time finishing good posts. So I´ll take some time off from the usual type of posting to walk you trough some questions and choices that the future will hold here at the Fool.
Filler posts – your thoughts?
As a rule I said that if some of my co-bloggers were unable to make a post for their designated day I would try and post a filler post containing mainly a movie and my very short ramble about it. As things are now well there have been a lot of these filler posts and I would really like some feedback on them. Is it ok that I could wind up posting nothing but filler posts for a whole week or should I try to make them more interesting or should I just throw the whole idea away and declare that we go into hiatus if I´m the only one posting?
Do give me your thoughts on this subject.
Status: Hiatus – When?
Did you like that I told everyone we would go into hiatus for the last weeks during christmas and such? Or should we just have stoped posting? To me it would be a bit rude to just stop posting without noticing you, our readers the reason for the stop of posts.
When you have thought about that for a second or two then let´s throw the main question in this topic out in the open: If I get wind of that people are busy with school or have personal reasons for not posting. Is that reason enough to declare a hiatus or should I just keep posting filler posts?
Cause for me I can see that sure, I enjoy posting a bit of flamsy or just weird movies for our readers, but given a whole week of them? The thought is not that nice so I just want to ask the readers about this.

I don´t know why, but except for our ordinary commenters(you know who you all are and we thank you) there are rarely any new commenters. Is this because we post such divine posts that nothing more can be said about them or is it because those that visit are just bots and what they want to say is caught by the anti-spam?
Since we have about 150 visitors a day, most of them go for the pokemon post sure and end up with a 404(Yes I´m very mean not to let them get what they want) I still feel that we get to few comments. Or we get comments that are just basically a try to get more visitors to their own blogs. Sure I can understand why. But I can give a warning, if I visit such a blog and find that the contents and such is weird I will mark your comment as spam or delink it without second thought. So please do keep your sentances to something better than single one liners :p
A topic for the viewers

The reason for this post is that I wanted to know our readers point of view on this subject as well as with school and stuff I don´t have that much to write myself :p I wish I didn´t have the need for sleep so I could stay awake for a whole week in a row so I could get everything done and finished in time without having to worry about anything.

Filler posts are nice, they’re a nice quick post not needing much thought on it, which I oddly find more interesting than say other well thought out posts. That’s just me though…
But I think once you start thinking you HAVE to post something is when blogging stops being fun. If you can continue with the filler post and not beat yourself up about what topic to choose, then go for it. Otherwise, it’s better to take some time off an cool down a bit.
As for comments, well I don’t really know what to say about that. I know that there are a lot of people who would rather read a post and not comment since they may not have much to add. Like me, I follow maybe around 100+ anime blogs but I don’t comment on them as much as I should, simply because I don’t think they need to know my quick one liner…that is, if I even have one.
I think they’re just being shy.

Thinking that one has to post is deadly for a blog yes.
I post fillers when I want to take it easy for when I fill in for the others. I don´t have anything against it. But as I said I wondered what the audience thought about it
With your voice there I can continue to post fillers with a good mindset. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I know about the hardship of commenting. I do want to comment on the blogs that I visit but I just can´t find the words. If this is something that our visitors are also troubled with then I understand everything.
Being shy is fine with me. I will answer all questions as best as I can and I don´t find much to be irritating.

Fillers are fun, especially so if you enjoy doing it. Who knows, it could evolve into something so much more and eventually find its way to your own blogging style.

Because of free time I spend some time at youtube and if I find something interesting it´s fun to share.
It is part of my blogging style. Thanks to how easy it is to embedd movies now if I have something that I want to show I will show it.
Dude, everything I post can be considered a filler. Though I don’t think it’s bad to think you “have” to write a post as long as you’re enjoying it. Some guys like to be structured or like the consistency.
Hmm, commentators…there are plenty of ways to have more such as posting about popular anime or trackbacking on huge-traffic sites. Though I never really do that because I like posting about obscure and random stuff. Personally, I don’t worry too much about it. I’m perfectly happy with a small, frequent group of visitors. Maybe I’m not very ambitious.
I guess what I think the most important thing is to write what you like and enjoy it. If you’re unsatisfied with fillers than don’t write them. If you like to then by all means go for it. This is a blog, not a thesis paper. But I’m sure you already know all this.
Interesting thoughts on the “have to or not” aspect. I enjoy consistency a lot so that might be one part of why I tried to create a schedule for all of us to write under.
I´m getting visitors from various places
I need to start going around and commenting more as well. That way it will increase visitors and maybe more comments :p
If I find something that I enjoyed and I post about it I will make a ping/trackback to where I found it. But otherwise I´m not in the busniess of doing so.
I realy to much on feedback. If I write something I usually don´t think that the thoughts or anything about it is perfect. Thus there is room to improve and therefore, comments are much wanted. But apparently my English isn´t as bad as I thought it was or something like that.
I enjoy posting, about anything. Giving the blog a theme is pretty nice but I still go outside the given theme sometimes. But I don´t feel bad about that. It gives me something to write and I enjoy writing.
And yes, this is just a blog where I and the others vent our thoughts about anime, games, computers, manga, visual novels and so much more. Which is fun as hell

Huh? im not so great on feedback but the fillers are ok “I” would perfer more video game filler rather than movies but thats just me. I’m primarily here for everything game related but do tend to wander off to the other posts and anime stuff(cant help it XD).
For the comments I would have to go ahead and agree with 53RG10. I too only comment when i have something to say. Which is most of the time actually for me but i find that most posts you can no longer comment on >:(. I dont know if thats how its suppose to be some sort of time limit to comment but thats one obstacle.
So thats my feedback sorry for the abrupt stop but thats all I have to say on this topic atleast.

We try to bring a mix of anime and game related stuff. But sometimes I notice myself being weird and not focusing on those topics.
Having something to say is a must have when writing a comment. That´s why it´s so hard to write comments sometimes. You just don´t find the words.
I have placed a time limit on how far you can make comments on posts since some of the posts were pretty much just getting spam comments.
To decrease my work of having to go trough each and every comment on a couple year old posts I decided to close the comments on older posts.
I might sometime open them up again. But if that backfires then back to this method we go.
No worries for abrupt stops. It´s ok.
