Well to describe the current things in my life that I care about the most (other than anime and food of course).
-Drawing
-Art
-Japanese translation
-Playing Piano
-Mahjong (this is relatively recent)
-Internet Culture
Hopefully that gives a good picture: I’m an artsy person, and though Im serious, I find myself consistently attached to randomness of memetic mutation. Like fellow author, manga. I love nice artwork, and do hope to publish a work of my own in the far future.
In terms of what anime I like? Well I’m very critical of anime when they don’t live up to my expectations, but that doesn’t mean that Im all black and white on what is good/bad.
I feel the best shows go like such
-If it’s comedy: the humor has variety and doesn’t try too hard
-If it’s action: the animation is not based on still frames. The plot moves and a good rate.
-If it’s drama: the animation is acceptable. The plot moves at a good rate. The characters get development.
And so of course many of you may see that and say “aren’t there quite a few shows with those qualities?” Perhaps there are, but not nearly enough that appeal to me.
Or you could just ignore my opinion. Cause Im a guy who prefers studio Shaft shows to most other things. I like Shaft’s style, it’s surreal, it’s crazy, and it’s awesome.
My job on this blog? To write about visual novels and eroge. I also write about other things as well. But I will try to write about those things above all else.
