So I had to grab the next best thing. A 2600K that is gives basically the same results in most areas as the more expensive 2011 socket or in simple terms: It´s good value for the money it costs to only be after a completely new socket in multi threading when the new CPU can use all of it´s cores.

Now I´ve ordered everything except for the GPU. For that I will wait untill AMD releases their new 7000-series and hope that those cards as cost effective as their current 6900 series is. If they are to expensive I´ll probably get a XFX 6950 card. Probably!

To this list I´ll add 2 Samsung F4 2TB drives with serves as storage for my work and a LG bluray burner/reader.

It should be enough power for me as I am a beginner in just about all fields there is at the moment. I tend to have a good eye for design though so I need some power for using Photoshop or Premiere. I´m starting out in so many fields it just ain´t funny. But it´s good times. Really good times.

This is what my christmas present to myself is as well. Nothing beats grabbing the specs you want for yourself.

And no, I won´t change the name. My computer will always be named Holo. I just wish I could decorate the computer case with her.

So in the light of my latop Kyou basically never being used I started to wonder and think that it would be better to sell her.

Since I didn´t know how much I would be able to get for her I talked with my mother if she wanted to buy my laptop. After much thought and discussions she agreed to buy it.

While I do need money I also need a laptop that is small and easy to cary and has a good battery life. So I set out to search for such a laptop. Started looking at netbooks and found this beauty.

A Asus EEE PC 1015 PPED. A 1,86ghz single core processor, 1GB DDR3 ram(I think) along with 250GB of harddrive size.

Now I´ve started this new netbook up and installed some stuff. Antivirus, FF and I´m thinking about what I should name her.

Can I have two computers in a row that I call Kyou or should I try to find a new name? The image does not have to be regarding to what I´ll end up calling her but it was such a nice image I just had to use it here.

The one bad thing I have discovered so far with this laptop is that the mouse pad is a bit to close to the keyboard for my comfort. So I sometimes jump to a completely different position than I should be. Since the mouse pad thinks it has registered me pressing down on it and thus “clicking”.

Otherwise I´m amazed. It´s just a single core but it works pretty smooth. Haven´t tried using it without the battery yet but if the battery time is as long as the manufactorer says(12hours) then this should be very much exactly what I need and want.

Should be great to be able to just flip this little baby up while riding a train or sitting in class.

I just need to get used to the keyboard as I´m writing this I´m starting to notice that it is a tiny tiny bit to small for me ordinary usage. But I guess I´ll get used to it. Sooner or later.

But give me suggestions for a name to this laptop or I´ll probably just end up calling her Kyou as well. Or Kyou 2. I suck at names as the most people around me know :p

Wow. It´s price was a bit higher than I expected in US. But if you want to know I payed about 540US for this little baby. So far so good though. Mousepad and getting used to the keyboard are stuff that I will do.

So I can´t really complain at all.

I like this computer Should making new WP themes a bit easer as well since then I´ll work from a small screen resolution instead of a big one.

And yes, this whole post has been writen and edited on my small little new computer. Which is also one of the things I intend to do with it.

Last week I got myself a new toy. The new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 aka Rachel.

After a week of using it and just goofing around I thought I should give you all a look on it and what I think of it.

The box that it came in can be seen above. A much easier box and better designed than the box for the original Xperia X1. On the fron we can also see what SE are using in their commercials: Timescape, a program that keeps tracks of just about anything. From your latest tweets to facebook status to what image you received last.

Since I´m not that much of a internet user on the phone this is a bit lost on me. Since I´m usually at home but if I travel I think I will find this feature to be great.

And yes, the color I got is black. Looks really really nice. I would have liked to see the white one before deciding but for that I had to wait three more weeks and I just couldn´t do that.

Box contents are as follows: A headset to use with the phone. a bluetooth wireless adapter and matching earplugs for it along with a screen protector and lots of guides and manuals in different languages.

The reason I´m not having the phone and the charger here as well is because the charger is just a ordinary one. It does double work as also being a USB cable for when you want to connect the phone to the computer.

And the phone should be seen for itself right?

Here she is!! The Xperia X10 aka Rachel. She´s a 4″ screen with a 1.6Ghz Snapdragon processor and Android 1.6 as running OS. I am not certain about what speed the processor is so don´t quote me on that. But I think at least 1 Ghz.

So she is fast as hell.

The reason the screen seems a bit fuzzy is because I used the X1 to take this photo. So it looks weird I know. And that I have a screen protector applied. But when you´re using this you don´t notice anything of it. Just a big clear screen.

My current start screen when I unlock the phone. Haruhi is boss and when she has this long hair I just can´t get enough of her. This image is just temporary untill I find and create my own wallpaper. The reason for this is that one big image that is 960×854 I think is used and it´s kinda hard finding good wallpapers with that resolution. But when I succeed with that I´ll be a happy guy.

Not much more to add there. I´ve customised the start screen so it shows the apps and such that I use the most. Or in preparation for the future when I hope I will be on the run a lot and then for example it´s nice to be able to use the wordpress app to publish posts.

This post is not written on the X10 though. Would take to much time and effort.

There is no qwerty keyboard on this phone so it is all touch input. Typing is fast and smooth for messages or URLs.

Just about everything on this phone is smooth. The only setback I have noticed is that it sometimes takes a while to shift from portrait to landscape mode and when starting the camera.

Otherwise this phone is quick and fast as hell and well worth the wait.

So if you´re in the market for a big touch screen phone with android and you can wait for their own personal update to Android 2.1 then I recommend this phone. If you are in dire need of Android 2.1 then I don´t recommend this phone.

But after a weeks usage I´m more than happy with this. All images except on the phone itself is taken with the mobile camera. Then resized to save space but the quality is surprisingly good. I just need to become a better photographer :p

So far this package that arrived today has been the only good thing happening to me today.

Yes, it´s the premium edition of Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love for PS2. A premium package along with a nice artbook. Costed me a bit but still, well worth the money. And thanks to Rosenqueen it was fairly cheap considering what I received. The shipping was a killer sure but still, worth it!!

And here are the 3 special extras. Or rather two shown here and the artbook being the third.

A special book titled “The Littlelip Theater New York 1928″ showing of the main characters and what the theater is all about: The plays that they are going to perform during the time from January to December 1928.

A poster of Gemini, the sword loving Texas girl which so far is who I will try to focus on as much as I can.

The manual for the game which is pretty thick, must mean that there are a lot of stuff to learn. Good news for SRPG fanatic like me

And finally the case of the game itself. I think that the premium box art is nicer but I guess they needed to make a special box art so I can´t complain about it.

As a bonus I´ll throw the trailer for the game in as well. Watch and be horrified at Gemini´s extra Texan enhanced accent They should have just let her talk normal.

Guess what arrived in the mail today? A big package containing very little stuff. A Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 stick and a T2 artbook.

I´ve been waiting for this to arrive all week. And finally after 4 days of shipping from Hong-Kong it arrived. And it was made of suprise and win.

My second T2 artbook!! This time from the much disliked game series Shining World. It consists of two games. Shining Wind is one of them and Shining Tears is the other. The book is so well made I just can´t start to believe how it could be any less quality.

Great images, nearly 200 pages with nice artwork and some interviews with Tony Taka makes this book a great buy. If you´re a fan. Otherwise it might seem weird :p

I knew that the stick was going to be pretty big. But not this enourmous. Makes for a good holding spot though and it is quite heavy so it won´t throw around during games. Which is a really good thing. And as you can see it´s well designed and just looks great even in it´s plastic bag.

And here the plastic has been removed. Looks pretty nice right? It feels nice as the buttons are receptive and works just fine. After doing a quick quick run in BlazBlue with this stick I found that I have a lot to learn as I can´t do many of the things I could do with a pad. Jump backwards is one thing :p But I guess everything comes with practice. I sure hope so, otherwise this was a waste of money. But I´m not going to give up with this stick just about yet. I just need to get used to it and then I think everything will be so much better.

Menubrowsing and such was no problem, no problem at all. So I think I know that the whole thing is just a learning process.

But it´s really nice to finally have a stick, I´ve been going around in circles for a long long time now. When I´ve given it some more time I´ll try and write a first impressions post up. Hopefully I´ll think that the money isn´t wasted…

Now all I need is some nice artwork to place on the surface and then get a good idea on how to make it appear there…

As usuall I´m way behind every single thing. Thanks to Anime Expo there has been a lot of revelations, which I´m late to write my own thoughts about.

The biggest and best news is that Jast USA will bring out at least 3 Nitro+ titles in english and they are going to start with Demonbane. They even have a page in english for us to drool over, both design and news wise.

This is great news for me as I´ve always wanted to play Demonbane. Much thanks to the anime since I know i like 10/10 cases the game is so much better than the anime and the anime was really good.

For those that want a quick fix for visual novels they can go and visit MangaGamer.com and buy their english translated visual novels. With the latest visual novel they acquired being Shuffle and probably Really Really! As well as having Da Capo already translated shows how much money I´ll have to spend in a short time.

There has also been a lot of stuff going on right and left with the PS3 release of Tales of Vesperia, the more recent footage of the PS3 version shows some really nice extras that weren´t in the Xbox 360 version, which has created a blind rage for some fans.

In perspective to this the Xbox 360 will get another RPG by the name of Magna Carta 2. Which has destroyed the first games battle system and made it more like FFXII and MMO fighting.

As well as NISA getting some really nice stuff out.

I´ll be blunt and just quote them:

The Disgaea 3 Trophy patch will be available on the PSN on July 16th. There are more than 50 trophies you can accomplish! Since Disgaea 3 was developed without the trophy system, your saved data will not be usuable with this Trophy patch. So make certain you are prepared to give up your current save data in order to challenge yourself to collecting these trophies! Please read the press release for more details.

From these three quotes the only thing I´m having a hard time accepting is the one about the trophies for Disgaea 3. Having to restart from the very beginning thanks to the patch is not something you´d want to do, espacially if you´ve spent a lot of time on it.

Earlier news tell us about Mana Khemia 2 being released in August. For the Japan speeker Atelier Rorona has or will soon be released. I just hope they translate it and bring it over to the US. First Gust 3d title for PS3!!

So there have been a bunch of stuff going on and I´ve just recently registered everything.

For one such news: Another musical RPG? Count me in and translate it so I can play it. Rhapsody – A Musical adventure was great, a bit short but really nice. So I don´t have anything against this. On the contrary I´m looking forward to seeing gameplay from this title.

Even some games seem to be receiving a PS3/Xbox 360/Wii convert which are games I´ve almost bought a Wii for.

All this means there are suddenly a lot of games to look forward to. Which I had no clue about just a couple of weeks ago. It´s scary how one tiny little bit can change your life.

And I do love the variation and basically no nudity images as the differences between Mayu and Reika and their own choices of clothing makes this book so worth getting.

Yes, I didn´t like the show that much. But this artwork is superb and yeah, just great. Variation, cute girls, Ninomiya getting into trouble, nice all girl images and just about anything you could want from the show. All really well made and as said, superb artwork.

Yes, I am crazy, just after getting a new LCD TV and Monitor I was once again bitten by the spending bug. My problem? Now I got 2 monitors and 1 FullHD LCD TV that can be used as a monitor, but I don´t have anywhere to place the cables to be able to use the TV as a monitor.

Going online was a good thing. Talking with friends about it is also good. Untill it reveals I have to get either 2 new graphics cards or a new motherboard and a graphics card to get it to work.

After thinking about it I decide to get a new motherboard and another graphics cards from Nvidia as since I tried the 8800 series out I´ve loved Nvidia. And since I already had a XFX 9800GTX Black I thought another XFX graphics card would be nice along with a XFX motherboard so that most problems would be solved straight away.

So here is the list

It was quite cheap so I got it. The only thing that I have on at the moment is my FullHD TV and boy it looks wonderful

Which took me some time to insert into my computer case, but now when everything is working out. It was worth it!! I love my improved computer. Horo seems to enjoy it as well.

So now finally I can use 3 screens at the same time.

The best part? My TV can be used as a monitor and I can see what I´m typing in for example Word. Yay!!

Worst part? Finding good wallpapers for all 3 screens. How the fuck am I going to do that when I can´t even find a nice combination for 2 screens that I keep for about a month?

Along with this I also thought that Horo needed some more power. So I got another set of these lovely kids. And boy did they give me a lot of trouble. Bluescreen after bluescreen telling me MEMORY_Management over and over again. After much struggle I finally solved the problem and now Horo works even better than ever before. And given her workload she deserved it.

The bad part is that my spending spree doesn´t end there. Horo got some upgrades, now it´s time for me to get some upgrades as well. I´ve been waiting for an eternity for Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean: The Last Hope and Spectral Force 3 to be released in Europe. No such thing happened. But the fear of RROD for the Xbox 360 kept me from buying a NTSC machine.

Now when yet another new version of the DVD reader has been released that should eliminate the RROD I trashed down and bought some stuff

As you can see, the red limited edition of the Elite console that came bundled with Resident Evil 5. I also bought Star Ocean: The last hope, Tales of Vesperia and Spectral Force 3

The one problem? We have a 230V out from our power outlets here in Sweden, this nimble machine can only take in 110V… So I can´t play the games that I so much wanted to play!!

To make matters worse, just about when I had ordered and payed for this, Namco announced that Tales of Vesperia would be released for PS3. Anger management was needed but if I really find that the new stuff is that good. I´ll just buy it again. I did buy Disgaea: Hour of Darkness a second time just to get the japanese audio option so… why not this for extras?

But for now. I´m done with my spending spree. Who knows when the spending bug will bite me again? I just hope that it won´t be as expensive as this time was :p

Apparently I thought I had saved up enough funds to do something about my need wishes of a bigger and FullHD TV. This doesn´t come as a suprise to anyone since I´ve already asked for games. But boy this is great.

The quality sucks I know. Since I seem to have misplaced my usual camera I have to fall back on my mobile phone, which in truth sucks so all the nice details and such do not make an apperance here. But it will give a overview of everything.

Pretty fun to go bananas and buy stuff. This was something I had been going on about for a long long time. Now I finally got my thumb out of my behind and started research on how I could do to make everything work. The result is the following: My subwoofer is now gone. The shelfs that I was using is placed on a higher level making room beneath them and I´ve moved my old CRT TV to the other side of my room. Then I could get a nice TV thanks to the way it is standing.

The cost? Not that much actually. But not something I want to discuss :p

A very smart design on the package, remove two plastic thingies and then just lift the box straight up and this is what you are left with. Pretty nice and easy. Makes it so easy to unwrap this beauty.

Nice red finish to this TV, just looks really nice even with the protective plastic on. I just love it already before even playing or watching something on it.

My bad camera skills along with the shitty camera in the mobile phone doesn´t make this screen justice, it looks just fabolous and I just love it. Valkyria Chronicles is such a nice game to test out your new TV on as it really is well designed and just makes the whole thing worth it. Sweet scene as well from the movie the runs if you let the game go without doing anything.

DVD looked great, I don´t have any blueray movies to play so I can´t say for that. But I guess it will look sweet. But this isn´t all that I bought this time around. I feelt that I needed more space so yet another Samsung 1TB harddrive to replace my 500GB one along with

This little beauty. I´ve needed wanted a monitor that has a 1920×1200 resolution for so long and now it just clicked and I bought this as well. Makes you wonder why I did this, but I can´t complain. Such a wonderful screen it is.

Unpacked with the protection taken away. Looks kinda big doesn´t it? It is kinda big but oh so sweet, touchpanels for menus and such aren´t that great but what a image it is!! So clear and nice I just can´t tell you how nice it looks.

Once again, my skills with the camera sucks and so does the camera, but a little image of my setup now. One Samsung 24″ monitor and one LG 22″ monitor. Not as big or manial as moyism´s version but oh my. This is as far as I can go.

Boy oh boy, this is just brilliant and works and looks beautifully and wonderful. I´m just so happy I can´t describe it. I´m happy I saved so much and that I could do this. Who needs funds for the future when you can have this much fun today? I´m still saving funds for the future, don´t be misslead by my words.

The worst part about this? It just adds up to my list of games that I need to play and since I somehow got sick I don´t have the energy to play the most recent ones: SFIV, CTDS and Prinny.

But then again, if you people want, drop a comment here and I´ll try to get online with my PS3 to kick some ass or receive a beating in SFIV. “OverlordHB” is the PSN nick for me. We can always try to find time for eachother :p

Back to being sick for me. I think I just struck a fever. But oh well. I´ll get better sooner or later. Just to bad I can´t play soccer like this. Hopefully I´ll have energy to play Prinny soon. I want to play it.
