So, we need to get something checked out and thus I created this.

One of the reason I choose Arthemia Premium as a theme for this site is because of the headline and featured sections.

But as things are now we don´t use these sections as much as I would want to and thus I become a bit irritated when I go here and see that it´s the same damn topic still.

So I´m writing this as a post instead of making a poll out of it: Should we remove the headline and featured sections from The Fool?

It´s a simple thing for me as the theme options allows me to choose. But I can agree to stop this madness if our readers tell me so. If they aren´t irritated by seeing the same headline over and over again all the damn time.

Or should the headline be used for this type of announcements? That we have a current theme, question or what not that we want the readers to answer?

Otherwise. I wish everyone a nice summer and that you hopefully have somewhere cold to spend the days and nights. It´s horrible here. So damn hot one can almost not stand being awake.

I know I´ll be sweating and cursing the heat a lot of it continues like this. Espacially since I can´t experience the nice beach and all the nice looking ladies there :p

Bah, to keep me from babbling, I´ll just end this post now. Do answer the question and we´ll see how things will turn out.

Oh my. I´ve forgotten to post yet another week on the correct day.

Reasons are many and they are few. So grab a bite to eat while I go trough the few but time consuming events that have lead us all up to this day.

First of all. Eien no Aselia has taking a lot of time. Sure now I have finished it, but thanks to that I have so little time over for other stuff. But oh man what a great game it is!! Spread the word that it is marvelous!!

Second. My real life caught up with me. Now I´ve got a own personal coach that will help me hopefully find a job. And I´m thinking about other stuff. I just need to do research for that said project that is job related before I throw myself into it. Hopefully I will learn much more stuff from this coach and who knows where that might lead?

Third. Books are enjoyable again. I´ve started to read the Elenium books by David Eddings again. And I´m enjoying every little tidbit of it to the fullest.

Fourth. This is the one thing that has drained the most time out of me: I´ve started to try and understand custom posts and all the new features that came with WordPress 3.0. I´m also creating a new theme that incorporates all these new features. Or trying to anyway. And no, it won´t be for this blog. It will be for my Swedish blog Nibelung Valesti that I´m thinking about just every two seconds on what I should do with it.

I´ve decided to keep it, but I also want a new fresh theme for it that makes my ideas bear fruit and may add me in the project I talked about earlier. So I´m trying to get a good hang of it all.

So while it hasn´t happend much it has taken a lot of time and phew, I´m almost starting to get exhausted. If it weren´t for Eien no Aselia I wouldn´t have played anything at all.

Sorry for this short post. But now you know what I´ve been up to during the week. This week will be exhausting as well. But finally I can get som good rest from soccer so my body can heal.

And while I say that I bought this theme and won´t change it I´m starting to get the feeling that I need to redesign the theme for this blog. I love Arthemia Premium I really do but at the very least I have to think about a new color scheme.

Yeah, you all knew this had to arrive sooner or later after I told you that I had gotten the thumb out of my ass to make a server.

There is also a secondary objective with this post. Trying to figure out why/if the timthumb isn´t working as it should. Hopefully it´s just one single image but who knows.
If it keeps malfunctioning then I have to take a little talk with the admins over at the ISP and see if they know the reason.

But back to Silvi, sweet daring Silvi. FreeNAS is the OS and after the initial rage over not being able to find the computer on the network it has changed to happy bliss, except for some odd things.

The biggest one being that FreeNAS and it´s standard file system UFS eats space on the HDD. I have the 1TB disk that I cleaned out yesterday. FreeNAS is telling me it´s only 902GB big. Which is weird since in Windows and with a NTFS formating it says it´s 950GB big. So I´m losing some very important space there. I wonder how big a 1.5TB HDD would turn out to be…

But I can live with it. The speed of transfering movies or just watching them trough the network is fast. Works exceptionally as long as the computer itself can decode the info that is being sent. Trying to watch a 1080p on a laptop with a 13.3″ screen and a 1.6Ghz PCU isn´t working that well :p But with my ordinary computer it works flawlessly.

So now I just need to fill Silvi up with HDDs and I´ll be a happy man.

She brought some friends as well. The old router was playing on it´s final tunes and it had been slow for some time. So I got myself a new one. A D-link DIR 825 and I´m surprised. Never thought it would change this much. A transfer speed trough the LAN network before was a measly 2.2MB/s if I was lucky. Now with this new router it´s up to 22MB/s.

Haven´t tried downloading stuff with torrents though. Need to configure everything first so that Silvi is ready for it.

So what should I call this new router? I end the post with that question. So far I´m happy with her. And yay, my harem is growing.

p.s I need to get out more, sleep better and drink more coke so that I won´t start behaving strangely because I´m without it…

The festivities continues!!

From having had a month long party since the 2nd year anniversery on the Fool we rush into another party with my own birthday today. So what do the interwebs have to give me except lots of laughter and friendship?

My day started pretty good. Took some time to sleep. As if I haven´t done that enough already but anyway. I sleept in long and that feelt good. It was what I needed with everything yesterday turning to shit.

After getting up there was breakfast combined with lunch. Then away to a soccer game.

That´s what I´ve been doing so far. I´ve been getting a lot of congratulations and happy birthdays as well, which I thank everyone for. It makes me happy.

The game went so so. My own part of it was pretty medium to good if I say so myself. Just to bad I have a habit of letting everyone else shine on the field while I myself don´t do much but work in the shadows. But I´m fine with that. It just bothers me that a simple misstake with a straight defense line can be so disastrous when not all of us want to win.

I´ve been working on a little something. A story of sorts that I wanted to publish along the lines of when I finally got the mascot. But it seems that it will still take time. I wonder how a couple of months could turn into almost a full year with no feedback or anything. But I´ll keep on waiting.

To give Akatsuki Yukari some reality and life of her own I decided to write a story about her and what she has gone trough. So I´ll try to publish a chapter every two weeks and we´ll see how things end up. For the first chapter you can go here. Do comment on it.

For presents, well I didn´t have much of a birthday party since I´m busy with soccer, my grandfather and on the other side of the family my grandmother isn´t doing so good either. My aunt is to busy with her own life and above all I´m not much of a party person. To poor for that.

Some funds have been acquired so I´m able to get some new games at least. Still have to try and find a jobb. It seems as if I need to work on my social activities and be able to stand in a store to greet people with a smile even though my day is hell. I just wish that if I do find a job it works with soccer. A night job would be perfect.

So my birthday has had it´s up and downs. But overall, a great birthday. Better than the last one anyway.

The best present I got was something I created myself. I finally took the time to start building my own server. And with FreeNAS installed and a HDD installed and shared Silvi is now operational.

Where I got the name? From Record of Agarest War and it´s fifth generation. Silvi is a harpy, which means wings and she is just so damn cute. So yes, she´s lovely.

Hardware for the server is a bit overkill.

1 500GB Samsung HDD.

Will add at least 2 more 1TB HDDs which I´m currently working on. I might get 1 1.5TB HDD as well. But that is something to think about.

Yes, it´s the premium edition of Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love for PS2. A premium package along with a nice artbook. Costed me a bit but still, well worth the money. And thanks to Rosenqueen it was fairly cheap considering what I received. The shipping was a killer sure but still, worth it!!

And here are the 3 special extras. Or rather two shown here and the artbook being the third.

A special book titled “The Littlelip Theater New York 1928″ showing of the main characters and what the theater is all about: The plays that they are going to perform during the time from January to December 1928.

A poster of Gemini, the sword loving Texas girl which so far is who I will try to focus on as much as I can.

The manual for the game which is pretty thick, must mean that there are a lot of stuff to learn. Good news for SRPG fanatic like me

And finally the case of the game itself. I think that the premium box art is nicer but I guess they needed to make a special box art so I can´t complain about it.

It´s weird. I thought this day was much much later into April, but it´s already time for the festivities. I´m terribly sorry to say that we haven´t prepared anything special. So it will just be a rant from me manga and then we´ll continue with our ordinary lives.

So much has happend during this last year. I´ve started studying and seriously this time I have also lost my interest to study. I need to think long and hard about what I do want to start doing for the rest of my life. I´m not getting any younger.

The blog has grown though. I took it upon myself to get co-writers to this blog and I succeeded pretty well. Following the added writers we added a schedule that we have tried to keep going. Some weeks have just been to much for us and it hasn´t worked. We still write here because we think it´s fun to write, not for any other reason. So some weeks we just have no clue what to write or are tired from school or work.

But most of the time this happends I try to find a good movie or some small subject to talk about. Which have succeeded most of the time.

We also started a forum. But for good or bad this forum has just been visited by myself and my co-writers along with what is supposedly a spam user. So when I get the thumb out of my rear I´ll probably erase the forum since it isn´t being used.

We pasted 200 000 views during the year that passed. Which is pretty good since most of the views come from one post. But after I got co-writers the amount of visitors have increased which is really nice. And comments have started to increase as well, but slowly. But still, a increase.

To make a final change in the theme busniess I got this current theme: Arthemia Premium. Costed me a bit but well worth every bit of money I payed.

We also passed 200 posts pretty fast after getting more co-writers.

If there is one thing I regret then it is that we haven´t been able to produce as much headlines as I would have wanted. But we can always try to improve.

The ads have collected some money for server costs and such. Not enough but still, it´s giving us some server money. Which is nice. People are also interested in clicking on the Jlist ad, which is great since it gives traffic to Jlist. But so far noone has bought anything from the link. Which is a pity. But still. Nice to know you enjoy the Jlist ad.

During this year I also took contact with a artist to create a mascot. This said mascot is on her way on being completed as we speak and I hope that when she is ready you will enjoy seeing her. Because I can tell you that much: She´s a cutie When she is finished a page will be created for her and some other special stuff.

So here´s to another year together. Hopefully nothing will go wrong this year either
