Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
Intro
Adell has sworn to defeat Overlord Zenon to return everyone in his homevillage back to humans as they are now monster who are gradually starting to lose their memories of even being humans.
Story
Adell´s Mother uses her powers to summon people to find Overlord Zenon so her son Adell can beat the crap out of him. Instead a young busty girl jumps out of the pot, apperently after some introductions she is Zenons only daughter. Full of guilt Adell promises Rozalin(her name) he will take her back to Zenon if she shows him the way. When he finds Zenon, he still is going to beat him up but hey, atleast father and daughter are back together!
So join Adell and Rozalin on their grand adventure!!
Characters
Fighting-maniac Adell, who loves to fight with his fist, fair and square, no cheating here!! Red hair that goes with his personality, act first, think later.
Rozalin, the sweet and spoiled daughter of Zenon, even though she´s a tough nut to crack, damn is she cute, beware though, she is refined and uses guns.
Tink, a frog with a split personality and I really mean it!! One personality is sweet, kind and a charmer, he himself says he has the good looks of the demons and the heart of an angel. His other self is pure anger personified, watch out when Tink starts getting mad or else he´ll whack you into the ground with his favorite bat
How about the enemies then? A colorfull bunch I’ll give em that much.
Alex the Dark Hero, big mouth, rockstar, TV-personality, supporting his family
Zenon, not much is know about him except he seems to be immortal. Could something about turning people into monsters have something to do with this?
Zenons right and left hand, two mysterious monsters who start to take a liking to Adell and his friends.
Graphics
The graphics are a killer, facial expressions come out really well in this anime 2d/3d mix. The surroundings are great for a 2d lover. Simply great
Music
Same thing as with Disgaea, some songs are repeated in your head, the hard rock version of Red Moon or the OP song: Sinful Rose by Yoko and the theme for the archnemesis Alex
Gameplay
As with basically any Nippon Ichi game the gameplay is awesome. It isn´t as hard as Disgaea but you´ll have way more fun here. The story brings more humor and a lovetale surpassing even Disgaea, if you make the right choices since it has multiple endings.
Grade
10/10 – Buy this game as well, if you like Strategic RPGs then you´ll love this one, the parodies, the design, the hardships, the items. Thanks to all the stuff to do and reincarnation we have another endless game here, the question is once more: How long will you last?
