Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Story
Edge Maverick wants to save his world. He has been training for a long time to go on a travel into space to find new planets that are inhabitable to the people of Earth. With him he has his childhood friend Reimi along with lots of other people.
At their virgin travel something goes wrong and they have to crashland on a planet. All is fine and dandy untill they are suddenly attacked, their rifles do nothing against this enemy so in a last retaliation Edge picks up a sword and thanks to some miracle he survives.
There were four ships sent out. One is missing from having crashlanded, one seems to have been fine and the last one also crashed at the same planet. Edge is sent out to retrieve and help prevent anything from happening to the crew. With him he has Reimi. When they arrive at the scene they realize they are to late. The ship and it´s crew are nowhere to be found, instead a mysterious creature confronts them and if it weren´t for the help of Faize they too would have been killed.
Something is odd about Faize though, his ears do not have the same shape as we do. And before Edge can ask about Faize explains that he is indeed an alien. Back at their basecamp the scene has been restored and their ship the Calnus has also been repaired. Given a new task Edge and Remi a long with Faize are to search out other inhabitable planets.
This journey will take them trough space and time, into the endless Star Ocean…
