Not being able to see anything but darkness Aidan starts to hear voices around him
“How did he succeed in standing on his legs and sing such a good song when he was hit so badly in the back of his head”
“Well, he was our captain and from what I experienced trough my single year playing with him he is able to shut all feelings of when he is doing something. He only feels the damage when he relaxes”

“Steve´s voice, all is good then. Thank god nothing serious happened”
Trying to open his eyes Aidan can hear another voice, coming much closer than the others
“Hey, it seems like he´s waking up”

Opening his eyes Aidan looks around, a well lit room with tables and chairs standing around a one-man bed which he is lying on. Beside him Mylene is sitting, when she sees that he opens his eyes she moves from the chair and lies down on the bed next to him and grabs him around the head giving him a gentle but hard hug.
She speaks with a low voice
“Aidan!! You scared me when you suddenly fell forwards, if it wasn´t for Steve you would have hit the ground”
“Yo captain, how´s your head?”

Lying on the bed with Mylene´s arms still around his neck Aidan takes a look around, Steve is standing at the end of the bed with a small grin on his face.
“Steve, thanks man, it seems the bottle hit med harder than I thought”
“No problem. I just did what you would have done for any of us”
“If I had been able to yes”

Turning his head towards Mylene who still is hugging him he gently strokes her hair
“Mylene?”
“Yes Aidan?” she looks him straight into his eyes and he can see small traces of tears in her eyes.
“I´m fine you know. Just give me a moment to catch my breath and I´ll be ready to go at it again”
“No, we´ll take it easy and the karaoke machine was removed a couple of hours ago right after you got hit”

Bringing Mylene with him as he sits up he looks at Mylene with a confused look
“How long was I knocked out?
“A couple of hours. We decided it was best if you weren´t moved around to much so we didn´t call an ambulance, we brought you in here instead”
“So I´m still at the club”
“Yeah, this is the second time you´ve saved me Aidan, what can I give you as
‘thank you’ this time?”
“Mylene, as I said before, you don´t owe my anything”
“Sorry, no can do mister. I have to repay you somehow”
“I´m trying to say you don´t have to…”
“Oh, now I know, I´ll spend the rest of the evening with you as long as you want me to”
“Are you listening to me?”
“Since this is finished, why don´t we go out to the dancefloor? I want to dance to at least one song”

Releasing her hands from his neck and standing up, Mylene looks at Aidan with a bright smile on her face, Steve standing at the end of the bed with an ever bigger grin on his face
“You know captain, I would do as the lady says, and since she´s made up her mind you might as well do as she says”
“Since I don´t have much of a choice here with both of you helping eachother out fine, I´ll dance with you Mylene for the rest of the evning, but I have to warn you, I´m a lousy dancer”
“It doesn´t bother me Aidan, dance anyway you want and I´ll dance anyway I want, that´s what dancing is about: Having your own style”

Grabbing Aidans hand and walking with him out of the room he had been lying in and towards the dancefloor. Upon arriving Mylene starts going trought the crowd, a lot of people stops dancing and watches Aidan, and since he has bandage around his head it´s no surprise.

The music being played is a fast beat instrumental song and Mylene catches the rhythm without any problems and starts dancing in front of Aidan, he on the other hand is so amazed by Mylene´s movement and steps all he can do is stand still and look at her. After a minute or so something changes inside him, the beat catches him and he starts to take small steps around, moving his hands and arms around in circles, all done in tune with the rhythm. As Aidan continues to learn the basic dance moves Mylene is starting to attract a lot of attention and as a lot of guys tries to move in on her she stops dancing and walks towards Aidan, when she´s infront of Aidan she starts to dance again.

All of a sudden a voice can be heard over the music: “This will be the last song for tonight, so everyone, find that special someone and dance with them and by request; the last song will be Do you Remember Love?”
The slow notes start to fill the floor and a lot of people leave the dancefloor, as the first vocals start flowing out
“Right now, I hear your voice
saying “Come here to me.”
Just when it seemed loneliness had beaten me.
Right now, I see you
walking over to me.
I close my eyes and wait for you to come.”

Mylene who was a couple of feet away from Aidan starts to slowly walk towards him. When she is infront of him she reaches out his hand to him, inviting him to dance with her.

“Till yesterday, it seemed filled only with tears.
But now my heart is”

Taking her hand he stands next to her with a question in his eyes
“I´m sorry Mylene but I´ve never danced this kind of dance before”
“Hush, you´ll do just fine, I´ll lead you on so it won´t be a problem. Just enjoy the dance”

“Do you remember? The time when our eyes first met?
Do you remember? The time when our hands first touched?
That was the very first time I set out on the journey of love.
I love you so.”

“Right now, I can feel your gaze
though you’re not here with me.
And in my body a warmth begins to glow.
Right now, I believe in your love,
so won’t you please
watch over me from so far away?”

Slowly starting to move she leads him into his first steps, as it is a slow song they take each step slowly but soon he has learned the steps and everything goes smooth as they turn around in circles, being so close to each other he can feel every move she makes.

“Till yesterday it seemed filled only with tears.
Now the world is…

I’m not alone anymore
now that you’re here with me.”

As the final tones slowly fade away Mylene releases her arms around Aidans neck and he releases her and they get some space between them and stand there, looking at eachother.
