The Fool

Aidan still isn´t feeling fine from his first party, so it is with heavy steps he´s walking trough the school corridors.
He sleept nice during the night and he doesn´t feel sick anymore, but somewhere something in his head still doesn´t feel right, it feels funny and he can´t focus completely.
His classes have gone well, somehow he has managed to answer the questions correctly and now he is heading home for some more studies. He feels he needs to study since the pary as he forgot some important rules and formulas.
As he walks towards the schoolgate he can hear a voice behind him yelling “AIDAN!!”, when he turns around and he feels something hit his chin as he barely dodged it.
“You bastard!! What did you do to Mylene!”
someone is standing infront of Aidan, grisping his hand tightly as prepared to give Aidan another punch. As Aidan doesn´t recognize the person infront of him he can only stand there dazed, mostly because he hasn´t completely recovered yet.
“Excuse me but who are you? I haven´t seen you before and I don´t think I deserve to be hit for something I don´t know about.”
“Don´t know? I heard you and Mylene spent the night together last Saturday”
“What? She did sleep over because she fell asleep when we went home in a taxi, but that was everything, nothing more”
even though Aidan isn´t focused at the moment he can still see that this person is preparing to give him another punch. Preparing evasive movement he looks for when the punch will come, he does see it clearly, but he can´t move fast enough to dodge it and it hits him straight in the stomache, he wasn´t prepared so his has to bend over and gasp for air.
“That´ll teach you not to get close to her again”
gasping for air, Aidan still has the power to speak up
“Wouldn´t that be up for her to decide for herself? I´m not forcing her or anything, and what gives you the right to decide for her?”
“Simple, I´m her boyfriend, Max Kingsley”
“That´s EX-boyfriend Max”
turning around to hear from where the voice came from he can see Mylene standing a couple of feet behind them with angry eyes
“I broke up with you Max when we decided to break up Fire Bomber”
“But Mylene, I heard…”
“I don´t care what you heard Max, it is up to me to decide what I want to do and whatnot, and besides, I´ve sleept over at Aidan´s place a couple of times already. It´s thanks to Aidan I stand here today. So if you would Max, don´t hit him again”
“Oh alright Mylene, if you say so.”
“Then I think we don´t have anything more to say to eachother at the moment. If you excuse me now I need to talk to Aidan”
Still gasping for air Aidan tries to stand up, he somehow succeeds and wondering what the hell just happened as he starts walking with Mylene out of the schoolyard and towards his home.
“Who was that?”
“Max Kingsley, my ex-boyfriend who I was seeing and playing together with in Fire Bomber”
“Oh, that´s why I had a vague memory of remembering him, he was the one who came when you had fainted”
“Yeah, that was him and I really don´t want to talk about this anymore.”
“Sorry for bringing it up. Anyway, was there anything else you wanted to talk to me about?”
“Yeah, I was wondering if you had any plans for this weekend? I thought maybe we could go and do something”
“I don´t have any plans so sure, what time and where should we meet?”
“I´ll come and pick you up at 18.00 on Saturday at your home”
“Ok, where are we going?”
“That´s a secret for now, you just have to wait and see”
time flows by fast and before anyone of them know it they were infront of Aidan´s house.
“This is my stop. Are you alright by yourself Mylene?”
“Yeah, Michael is comming to pick me up so no worries. See you on Saturday then”
“See ya!!”
Walking up to the door Aidan turns around, sees Mylene climb into a car and leave. Unlocking his door he walks in and prepares some dinner, eats and then starts studying.
