The Fool

BEEP BEEP

Aidan tiredly looks for the alarm clock, finds it and presses the button to shut the alarm of. Then he lies his head down on his pillow once more. As he starts to awaken more and more he feels something really warm and soft grabbing his right arm
”What is this?” Aidan thinks as he turns his head around to look. To his big surprise there is a pair of slender and feminine arms holding onto his arm. A big sunfeather of hair is covering the cutest face Aidan has ever seen lying next to him. When Aidan tries to move away, the grip around his arm tightens and Aidan can feel something more touching his arm, it feels really soft, even his shoulder is getting a feeling of something soft touching his shoulder. With a smal glimpse Aidan sees Mylene has positioned her head on his shoulder, her arms are somehow entangled around his right arm, as she is deeply sleeping.
Captured, with no chance of escaping Aidan puts his head down on his pillow once more, trying to stay awake so when Mylene moves he can escape. But he is unlucky, Mylene doesn´t let go of his arm, after 30min Aidan is feeling really sleepy, he tries to keep his eyes open, but he is beaten by his eyes, as he closes his eyes he falls asleep once more…

Suddenly, Aidan wakes up with a scream filling his ears:”LET ME GO!!”.
Awake and fully aware, Aidan jumps out of bed, looking at Mylene, her usually ice blue eyes looking as hard as steel. As he starts walking towards the door something hits him in the back of his head hard along with a line going straight into his soul
”You pervert!!”

Going outside his room, closing the door behind him Aidan goes to his sofa and grabs his clothes. After getting dressed he walks to the kitchen and starts making breakfast, he takes out a bowl, grabs some milk from the fridge along with some bread and goes back into his living room, sits down in the sofa and starts eating. When he is just about to finish his last bread bite the door opens and Mylene walks out, wearing the same clothes she did yesterday. She quietly walks and sits down at the other end of the sofa. Her face reveals she is very upset and angry.
”I can understand you’re very angry at me, but please listen to my explanation?”
”I’m pretty sure I won’t believe what you are going to say but ok. I could listen to your version of this story.”
”Thanks…”

”Well, I awoke from some nightmares I had last night, I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn’t. So I got up, wondered why I was sleeping on my sofa, went to my room, booted up the comp and looked for a new song I heard on radio: New Future. I found it after some searching, I downloaded it, listened to it and suddenly I felt sleepy again, forgot you were sleeping in my bed but I went back to the sofa, fetched my pillow and sheet and then went to bed and fell asleep instantly”
”But that doesn’t explain why you were hugging me when I woke up”
”No, it doesn’t, as you must have understood I don’t sleep in one position the whole night, I tend to move a lot in my sleep. But I woke up 1 time and you were sleeping really soundly”
”Why didn’t you get up and went back to the sofa then?”
”I couldn’t, you were holding my arm and when I tried to move you held onto me even harder, I had no choice but to stay. I tried to stay awake until you released my arm, but I fell asleep once more. Then I woke up with you yelling in my ear.”
”I think I have to right to do that when I wake up with a stranger’s arms around me”
”I agree, but have you been training a lot? You’re stronger than me.
”Well, I have been exercising a lot lately, to work on my figure”

Without his own safety in mind Aidan slowly looks at Mylene from top till bottom. When she notices this, slowly a little blush forms on her cheeks, but it disappears and her eyes are angry again…
”Well, I can’t say I think you need more exercise, you have a very nice figure”
”And it’s a bonus you felt me up right?”
”I can tell you I didn’t feel you when I woke up, you were the only clutching onto me, not the other way around, and when I sleep, I don’t feel anything. So I don’t know how you are built, except for what I saw earlier when I had to take of your wet clothes, and your figure doesn’t need more exercise”

Complete silence has falls between them…

After a while of staring at each other, Aidan speaks
“Anyway, with all this cleared up, do you want some breakfast?”
As a confirmation to his words, Aidan can hear a loud grumble coming from what seems to be Mylene´s stomach. She looks away with a cute little blush
“Yes, that would be good, but what do you have?”
“Not much, some bread and yoghurt, I need to go shopping later today.”
“It’s fine. Do you mind if I use your bathroom before eating breakfast?”
“Not at all, go ahead”

Aidan goes into his kitchen to make some more breakfast; he takes a couple of spoons, bowls and puts them on his dinner table. Afterwards he fetches some yoghurt, cheese, sausages from his freezer and puts it on the table, and then he gets some bread and cuts it in reasonable sizes, grabs a packet of butter along with a butter knife. He puts all this on the table. Then he sits down and waits for Mylene to come back.

When she returns from the bathroom she is once more clothed as she was when Aidan found her, all covered in black. As she hands Aidan a pack of clothes she says: “I found my clothes and they were dry so I changed into them, thanks for letting me borrow some of your clothes”
“You’re welcome. I made two sandwiches for you, I didn’t know what you wanted on them so I took some cheese and sausages from the freeze, eat as much as you want. Or better said until I run out of bread”
“Ok, I don’t think I’ll eat much, but you never know. Could you pass the butter and cheese?”
“Sure”

After eating, Aidan looks trough the window; it seems as if it has stopped snowing, when he turns his head back to Mylene he can see she is also looking outside the window.
“It looks like the weather has cleared out, maybe I should be thinking about getting home”
“Yeah, even if you don´t get along with your parents I´m sure they are worried about you. And it is always nice to see your daughter when she has been away”
“Yes, I agree with you, even if they don´t show me they love me all the time they do, and they care for me very much. So I have to thank you for your hospitality”
“Ok, even if we had our share of anger between ourselves I enjoyed your stay, and if you ever have any problems like this again, come and visit me if you don’t have anywhere else to go.”
“Thanks, I’ll consider your offer”

With these words said, Mylene goes out into the hall and takes on her shoes and jacket again. When she tries to open the door she gets problems.
“I’m sorry, but do you think you could open this door?”
“Oh sorry, I should have told you about this door, it is a little special. You have to pull the door towards you as you turn the lock open, like this”
Without considering Mylene still has her hands on the doorknob Aidan puts his hand over hers and turns the lock and opens the door. When Aidan understands what he has done he let’s go of Mylene´s hands and takes a large step backwards
“Sorry about that.”
“It doesn’t matter; it’s ok since you taught me. Anyway good bye and have a nice day!!”

Mylene opens the door and goes out, leaving the door open. Aidan goes and shuts the door and locks the door…
Aidan takes the rest of the day to go shopping, to buy some more bread, yoghurt, some meatballs and more spaghetti. When the evening comes Aidan is so tired he makes his dinner for the coming day early and then goes to bed, falling asleep almost immediately when his head hits his pillow…
