The Fool

BEEP BEEP!!
Aidan slowly turns his head around to turn his alarm clock of, then he yawns puts his clothes on and starts getting ready for the new school week.
It has been 3 weeks since he found Mylene lying in the snow; he rescued her, took her in and got to know her a little. But after the weather had gotten better she leaved and he hasn’t heard or seen her since then.
“She probably got herself grounded for a couple of days, and she did say she was going to start school here.

Aidan takes his usual clothing: a black sleeveless t-shirt, black pants and his favourite black jacket to cover his arms, since it is pretty cold outside now and starts walking to school.
He didn’t get enough sleep as usual, so he is quite gloomy and walks with his eyes halfway closed.

After taking all of his classes Aidan hurries towards the practice grounds. As he turns around a corner, he feels something bounce of his chest and as he stops to look down he can see a girl sitting in front of him on the floor.
“Ouch!! That hurt you know!!”
“Excuse me; I didn’t watch where I was going. Here, let me help you”
As he extends his hand to help the stranger up his mind is telling him he knows this person. After that the stranger has gotten up on apparently “her” feet she looks at Aidan and then gives him a punch in his stomach.
“OW, what did you do that for?” he asks
“That was payback for bumping into me and making me fall you big oaf”
After a short moment his head tells him he really knows this person…
“Oh, I’m really sorry Mylene. I just didn’t recognize you.”
“Really? After what we went trough and you don’t recognize me? It really breaks my heart.”
“I’m sorry, it is just I haven’t gotten much sleep this week. Since I’ve been free from school my sleeping hours have been quite differently and now when I’m back in school I’m not used to getting up this early”
“Not a good enough excuse, but I have more classes so I’ll let it slip this time. The next time will be much tougher”
“Ok, have fun at class. I need to get to the practice grounds”

After seeing Mylene of and hurrying to the ground Aidan runs into one of his team-mates: Steve who is one of the team’s forwards, he is bigger, stronger and longer than Aidan but he has very little short temper and easily gets angry. But he is 3 years younger and thus doesn’t have the experience of being team captain yet but when Aidan finishes collage Steve is probably the next captain for the soccer team.
”Yo Captain!”
”Hi Steve. What’s up?”
”Just wondering but I saw you in school arguing with some hot chick, who is she? I almost coughed up my drink when I heard ”what we’ve been trough”. What did you do to the poor girl?”
Blushing, Aidan tries to answer in a calm voice
”Nothing, at least I don’t think so. I don’t know what she was thinking when she started screaming like that.”
”Oh, sure… You will forgive me if I don’t believe you right? Cause it doesn’t seem like ”nothing” to her and then it must be something really awful. But I will let it rest, since it looked like she gave you full payback for what you did herself.”
”Yeah… I could barely stand up after receiving her punch. Let’s go and have a good practice now Steve”
“Sure thing captain”
