Confession

Standing outside in the cold night Aidan can´t stop his tears from flowing out. Steve and Billy come up to him

“Yo Aidan, what´s wrong?”
“She didn´t want to dance with me. And it looked like she picked just anybody to dance the last dance with.”
“Are you sure? Wasn´t that one of her old friends?”
“Right now I really don´t care. I know I´m egoistic and acting like a spoiled brat here, but I wanted to dance the last dance with her and then ask her a special thing”
“Well, if you´re just going to stand outside here then we can as well go home”
“No, I´ll wait here for her, I´m going to give this plan I made up one more chance. I´ll talk to you guys later, merry christmas and a happy new year”
“If you say so Aidan, we´ll talk later then, hope your plan succeeds”

Standing just right of the door of the pub Aidan waits and waits. People are comming out but he can´t see Mylene, then the crowd starts to decrease and then it stops, but still no Mylene. “Did I miss her? I couldn´t have, there wasn´t that many long haired girls here tonight”

As if God wants to help him Aidan hears a scream “AIDAN, HELP ME!” and as he turns from where the scream came he can see two guys forcing Mylene to follow them, not thinking Aidan rushes towards the guys and strikes, he feels his hand hitting the face of one of the guys who falls down. Turning around he can see the other guy holding Mylene in front of him with something aimed at her

“Dude, leave here now. We have busniess with this lady”
“What kind of busniess?”
“You don´t have to know”
“Well, I have busniess with her as well so release her”
“Sorry, can´t do that”
A new voice emerges from the shadows
“That´s to bad for you”

The second guy suddenly falls forward with his eyes showing that he is uncatious.

“You´re a lucky guy Aidan we were hungry so we had a bit to eat”
“Billy! Steve! Thanks a lot guys”

Looking at his best friends Aidan is feeling a warmth he didn´t think he would be able to feel anymore, but he is more worried about Mylene. She´s lying in the snow, just before Steve hit the guy in the head he placed something on Mylene´s mouth so she´s knocked out.

Bending down Aidan takes Mylene in his arms and carries her home to his place. There he places her on his sofa and goes to get some water incase she wakes up. Mylene doesn´t wake up for a couple of hours. But when she wakes up she can feel Aidan´s hand holding hers tight, as to never wanting to let it go.

“Aidan?”
slowly waking up Aidan can see Mylene sitting up
“Mylene! I was worried about you! What happened?”
“A ‘friend’ of mine came and somehow managed to lure me into dancing with him. After the dance was over he threw me to those two, I don´t know who they were or why they wanted me”
“I´m sorry, I felt jealous when I saw you dancing with somebody else and leaved you. I won´t do it again”
“It´s ok, why should you have to cover my back all the time? I´m a grown up now you know?”
“Yeah, I can see that. Do you think you´re strong enough to get up? There is one last place I want to show you”
“Sure, where is it?”
“It´s just a short walk from here. I´ll take you there”

Helping Mylene up, Aidan and Mylene goes to the door, walks out of his house and down to a nearby park. There Aidan had prepared some fireworks.

“Mylene, before I set this of there is a question I want to ask”
“What is it?”
“Do you have any boyfriend? Or someone you love?”
“I don´t have a boyfriend, I do have someone I love but I don´t think he loves me back.”
“Oh” Aidan says with a sad voice. “Well let´s get this show over with”

Lighting the fuse the fireworks fly towards the sky and with a bang creates letter after letter: I Love You Mylene

Turning around Aidan can see Mylene standing with her hands covering her mouth

“You love me Aidan? Why haven´t you told me so before?”
“Yes, I do love you Mylene, and the reason I haven´t said anything before it that I wasn´t sure untill last month, but then I didn´t have any chance to tell you how I felt, so I thought this idea up then. Getting you to be alone with me was harder than I expected, but now I want to tell you face to face: I Love you Mylene and I was wondering if we could get together?”

Standing with a look of confusion, distrust and love Mylene seems to be very unsure of everything.
“This must be a dream, Aidan can´t be confessing to me here and with such a unique way, Aidan acts as if he doesn´t like me but I do love him, but I don´t want this dream to end”

As she continues to mumble Aidan slowly approaches her, takes her into his arms and gives her a gentle hug
“I´m sorry I haven´t told you before, I acted the way I did because I didn´t understand my own feelings, now I do and I love you more than anything so please, stop thinking this is a dream and look at me”
turning her head upwards she looks into Aidan´s eyes, she has tears in her eyes
“I thought you didn´t like me back. But now when I see your eyes I know, you´re telling the truth. And yes I do love you as well. We´ll be together from now on”

Slowly taking a hand and taking her tears away, Aidan then gives her another hug, then he looks into her eyes once more then he starts to move his face closer to hers, still with their eyes open their lips touch and they exchange a sweet kind kiss full of love and faith.
